On The ‘Gram – Aug 02, 2020

The grooves in the rock did not appear here overnight,⠀
they were carved from years of worship,⠀
and years of storms.⠀

Great things take time.⠀

Your scars are not imperfections⠀
but proof of where you’ve been.⠀
An indication of what you have left to show.⠀

About the photos:⠀
From one of the most transformative trips of my life when I finagled a $56 round-trip ticket to Bali from Denver with a pitstop in Sydney and Seattle (yes, you read that right, and yes, it was an actual seat in the plane, I promise I wasn’t in the luggage compartment, lol).⠀
⠀
I had about a 10-hour layover in Sydney on the way, so I made of it what I could. I explored the harbor, around the opera house, walked the streets and closest coastlines, tried some of the local variety craft beer, and chatted with the locals while eating my lunch at the bar. I made a point to trek across town on the bus to catch a glimpse of Bondi beach, and it was well worth the trouble. ⠀
⠀
This coastal walk alongside it was gorgeous and went on for miles. I was exhausted and my feet hurt from the lack of support in my shoes and slapping across the pavement all day, so I crawled over the railing just to sit and listen to the ocean, take in all of its beauty, and give myself a break and chance to actually enjoy it.⠀
⠀
Sydney, Australia definitely took a piece of my heart that day that it will never give back, and I can’t wait to see it again someday in the future.
