It’s Spooky Season ????

It’s feeling like spooky season in the air to me… which is bringing me back to thinking about visiting the Oddities & Curiosities traveling expo that came through Denver back in 2018.

A friend of mine (who’s the witchy kind 😜🧙🏼‍♀️) invited me to tag along, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

Admission was only $20 cash, with a looong line out the door of people eager to enter but the line went quickly!

To my pleasant surprise, the expo center was filled to capacity with all sorts of hand-crafted creations. I’ve never seen so many crystals, skulls, and creepy crawlies displayed in such a beautiful way in my life!

Unfortuantely, I was being a bit of a wussie and was too anxious/nervous to confidently take all of my photos while standing still in front of the vendor’s booth. 😂😅 I skimmed over the vendor’s that had a blatant “no photography” sign on display, but took my chances with the others, trying to snap a quick photo before I got caught or scolded, lol.

On that note though, I should have just asked each vendor if it was okay to take a photo, and if they were, take a card of theirs to reference later! That is what I can now see would have been the best and most respectful thing to do….

Anyways, I hope you enjoy scrolling through these photos and get a sense of wonder at all the magic human beings are able to create out of things that some people would find eery! 😲

Below the gallery is a link to the expo’s website and their Facebook page, feel free to follow them for their 2021 calendar!

P.s. I am not affiliated, just a fan! 🙂

Ps.s. This month we will experience TWO full moons (called a a blue moon, unfortunately, not actually blue 😢, lol) AND a full moon on Hallow’s Eve (Halloween)! Very on brand for 2020. 😮
